Why do I need to login / register?
You have to register to be able to add your dog in the database. It's only possible to add your own dogs, this is to prevent abuse, prevent as much as possible that the information is incorrectly registered, and to prevent violations of rules, copyright and misuse of the page. If you only want to search the database and/or read its contents there is no need to login or register.

I cannot log in
It is important that you enter username and password. There is a difference between uppercase and lowercase letters. Have you forgotten your password please send us an e-mail.

I cannot sign up
Have you entered the correct information? If something is entered incorrectly, you will get an error message. Remember correct e-mail address. Do you still have problems beyond this, please contact us by sending us an e-mail.

Health results
Why can't I write my dogs health results?
We are not able to check every single healthresult that is added. We have no way to check whether the information the owner writes about his/her dog is correct. That's why if you want to add health results on your dogs page you have to scan the papers and add them as pictures.

Who owns the images and information?
All images are © copyright owner and photographer of the image, and cannot be used without the owner's consent. All information written on the page are written by the owners themselves, but are not protected by copyright. This is considered public domain, and for everyone to use. If your photo has been used on our site without permission, we want to hear about this so that we can take action by refusing them to take advantage of our site.

What is the purpose of this page, and how does it work?
By talking to a number of Chihuahua owners, we found that the desire for a Chihuahua Database was desirable. To be able to easier find information about the breed, individuals, breeders and owners. Anyone who owns a Chihuahua with a pedigree is able to become a member, and enter information about his/her dog. We've created a database where you can find Chihuahuas and breeders from all over the world. The page is hosted and maintained by us is behind the domain Chihuahua.dog-db.com, but all information is entered into the database by users / owners. We can not be absolutely certain that all information added is correct, so we recommend that you check the information before you take advantage of the information written on this page, and that you contact the owner / breeder, kennelclubs and breedclubs to be sure the information is correct.

How does it work?
Who can add and edit information?
Anyone who owns a Chihuahua with a pedigree can add his/her dog. Go to login in the menu and add new user by filling out the form, then simply login, go to the database page, add a new dog, and fill out the form for your dog. If you do not know all the details about your dog, leave the fields open. To edit, you must be logged in and you can only edit your own dogs. This is done by either clicking on your user name in the menu after you've logged in, or find the dog in the database, and then go ro the dog's profile, and select modify.

How can I add pictures?
This is done after you have filled out the form and the dog has been added to the database. Enter the dog's page, and edit. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, write the photografers name, browse and chose the picture you want from your computer. Add picture, the picture will be visible, and press the update button.

How do I delete information, images, and the dog's profile?
By logging in, and go to the dog's profile, you can edit and delete information and pictures. But the profile cannot be deleted. You must contact us via e-mail for further information if you want to delete a dogprofile.

One dog, many owners?
You can write the co-owners name in the "Co-owner" field.

How do I edit information on the use
To change the user information you need to login. Once you are logged in, click on your username in the menu, and edit.

Pairing sibling and parents?
Because of the rule that you can only add you own dogs, members will experience that parts of the pedigree and siblings might be empty. This is because these dogs has yet to be registered in the database. We have decided that you can only add your own dogs because of the information needed when adding a new dog, and that this information might not be wanted public for everyone to read. As the database continue to grow and more and more dogs are added this will change. We ask you to regulary login and see if parents of your dogs are registered, and that you update your dogs information. When your dogs parents are added the pedigree will automatically be made, and the dogs linked together. Dogs with the same sire and/or dam will also be linked automatically, To build a large database with many dogs takes time, and pedigrees will be missing dogs, but the goal is to register as many Chihuahuas as possible and connect as many lines, and pedigrees as possible.

Note
We ask you to notice that Chihuahua.dog-db.com is designed for Chihuahuas. No other breeds or information will be added to the database. Violations will results in blocking users and delete this information. The database is not for advertising, all information about dogs for sale, litters etc. will be removed and warnings given. If repeted users will be deleted and blocked. If you want to post such information, please contact us about ads. One should not add information about the owner, website, phone number, etc. when adding a new dog in the database, it is only to add the dog's information,all information about the owner, you can add when you create the user profile. One can only enter his or her dogs, as owner information will automatically appear on the dog's side.

IMPORTANT!
Information about user
Any information you add to your page will be visible to others, so if you don't want contact information and other information to be available do not not add this information when you create the user. Full name, e-mail, kennel name and website will be available to everyone if entered in your user profile. Full name and e-mail are required when registering a profile, if you do not want this, unfortunately you cannot create a user profile.
